While our office is located in Roseland, we serve clients across Essex County and the surrounding areas. We are open 24/7, in order to serve clients when they need in-home care, including live-in, overnight and 24/7 cases.
What’s the story behind CareBuilders at Home?
We are a home care agency providing compassionate, non-medical in-home health aide support to seniors as well as individuals with disabilities or chronic conditions. My passion for this work is deeply personal. Like many in the Asian American community, I was raised with the strong value of honoring and caring for our elders. This sense of responsibility and care for older generations inspired me to open the West Essex office of CareBuilders at Home. While the CareBuilders brand has a 30+ year national legacy, I opened the West Essex office with the goal of providing culturally sensitive, personalized care to families in our area.
What Are You Most Proud Of?
I am most proud of the way we listen to the needs of each client and their family, and work to address them. One aspect of this is language – we work hard to match clients with home health aides who speak their preferred language whenever possible. This includes Cantonese, Mandarin, Hindi, Gujarati, and other languages spoken in our diverse community. Communication is foundational to building trust, and it makes a world of difference in a client’s comfort, safety, and emotional well-being. It is incredibly meaningful to help elders feel seen, heard, and understood in their own language and culture.
Do you have any recommendations or tips for visitors?
Many people do not realize that home care is not just for those with advanced health issues. It can be a proactive and empowering choice. Whether someone needs companionship, meal prep, transportation, or just a little extra help recovering after a hospital stay, surgery or childbirth, in-home care can preserve independence and relieve stress for families. I always encourage people to reach out before there is a crisis – planning ahead gives families more options and peace of mind.
What do you like best about your community?
It has been truly inspiring to see how much AAPI New Jersey has grown and become a force in the community. What started as a small but passionate movement has turned into a powerful platform for visibility, advocacy, and celebration of our shared cultures. I attended the very first Color Run with my family, and I remember being so impressed – not just with the event itself, but with the sense of joy, unity, and pride it created. Since then, the events have only gotten bigger, better, and more impactful. It feels like just the beginning, and I am excited to see how the AAPI community continues to shape the future of New Jersey and beyond. Being a part of this momentum, as both a resident and a business owner, is deeply meaningful to me.
