Community Safety Lab

AAPI New Jersey offers in-person and virtual trainings on how to take care of yourself and your community. Workshop topics include:

  • How to respond to anti-Asian harassment
  • What to do during an encounter with immigration enforcement
  • Safe strategies for bystander intervention
  • Your rights and strategies for staying safe during protests or rallies
  • RISE & Resist—a framework for youth ages 10–17 to build the skills they need to stand up against everyday bias

Mental Health Resources

Your mental well-being matters.

In this resource hub, you’ll find a wide range of mental health services—many of which are free or low-cost—including AAPI-centered practitioners, community-based programs, and crisis services to support you or your family, no matter what you may be facing.

Research

  • The Virulent Hate Project is an interdisciplinary research initiative that studies anti-Asian racism and Asian American activism during the COVID-19 pandemic.
  • Stop AAPI Hate has released a National Report, a Mental Health Report, and more since March 2021.
