Data disaggregation allows government agencies to more effectively deliver programs by identifying which subgroups have greater needs. The New Jersey data disaggregation law (P.L 2023, c. 264) requires each State agency that collects demographic data to disaggregate ancestry data by national/ethnic subgroups.

Expanding language access is of vital importance to a wide range of communities with limited English proficiency, with the potential to help hundreds of thousands of New Jerseyans understand what they need to do in emergencies, access critical government services, seek the protection of the law, and more.
