Advocating and caring for the unique health needs of our diverse AAPI communities
We envision a future where every Asian American and Pacific Islander in New Jersey has access to culturally responsive healthcare. As an organization, we advocate for policies that advance the physical and mental welfare of AAPIs in New Jersey, engage in community outreach, and offer programs that build awareness of AAPI health issues and resources and break down cultural stigmas around mental health. Our innovative youth programs help build community while normalizing interactions with mental health providers, while for adults, we have offered sessions on parenting as an AAPI, mental health book clubs, and workshops on how to find mental health providers.
If you are an Asian American or Pacific Islander in New Jersey with questions about or interest in mental and behavioral health services, whether for yourself or a loved one, we invite you to schedule a confidential 15-minute call with an experienced AAPI social worker.
Whether you’re seeking therapy, counseling, psychiatric care, or other mental health services, our compassionate and knowledgeable social worker is here to help you explore available resources and develop a plan to connect you, your child or adolescent, or other loved one with the appropriate services. To sign up, email info@aapinewjersey.org.
