Meet the Speakers:

Minwon Cho is the founder of Cho Law LLC, a business immigration law firm representing entrepreneurs, investors, multinational companies, artists, and athletes. His practice focuses on employment-based and investment-based immigration, including EB-5, E-2, L-1, O-1, P-1, H-1B, and National Interest Waiver matters, as well as related strategies for corporate expansion, talent mobility, and long-term planning. In addition to petition work, Mr. Cho represents clients in federal courts in matters involving immigration benefits and liberty interests, including benefits denial litigation, mandamus actions, and habeas corpus petitions. He is known for pairing rigorous legal analysis with clear, persuasive storytelling that helps adjudicators understand not only eligibility, but also the practical and national value of the work his clients perform.

Mr. Cho’s client base spans distinguished professionals across creative and technical fields. His matters have included representation of a fashion designer featured at the New York and Paris Fashion Shows, an athlete honored alongside Tiger Woods in the Hall of Fame, a musician who recorded at Abbey Road Studio 1, and an internationally recognized artist known for leading master classes around the world. Alongside individual and company representation, Mr. Cho has advised at the national and policy level, including counseling the Korean Ministry of Foreign Affairs in its engagement with the United States Department of State on issues affecting Korean nationals and Korean corporate operations in the United States, including revising the Foreign Affairs Manual.

As an immigrant himself, Mr. Cho brings personal insight into the realities of building a life and business in the United States, while maintaining the discipline and precision required for complex legal advocacy. He also serves as Executive Director of The American Institute for Immigration Law and Policy and as Chair of the Congressional Advocacy Committee for the New Jersey Chapter of the American Immigration Lawyers Association, where he leads policy engagement and community education initiatives. Across matters ranging from emerging companies to globally recognized talent, his firm is known for clear strategy, precise writing, and persuasive case narratives aligned with each client’s goals and risk profile.

Carolina T. Curbelo, Esq. is the founder and managing attorney of The Law Office of Carolina T. Curbelo, LLC, a bilingual immigration and real estate law firm based in New Jersey. With more than a decade of experience, she represents immigrants and their families in family-based petitions, humanitarian relief, naturalization, deportation defense, and federal immigration litigation. She advocates for clients not only before USCIS and the immigration courts, but also in federal court when government action requires judicial review.

As the daughter of Cuban refugees, Carolina brings both professional expertise and personal understanding to her work. She is passionate about empowering communities through education and advocacy and regularly leads “Know Your Rights” presentations to ensure individuals understand their protections and options under the law.

Carolina currently serves as the Chapter Chair of the New Jersey Chapter of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA), where she works alongside fellow attorneys to advance the practice of immigration law and support the immigrant community statewide.

Reana Garcia, Esq. is the founder of Reana Garcia Law Group, established in October 2023 to provide skilled, client-centered representation in immigration and criminal defense matters. She brings extensive experience in both affirmative and defensive immigration law, representing clients before Immigration Court, USCIS, the Board of Immigration Appeals, and state and federal courts. Her practice includes bond proceedings, asylum, cancellation of removal, adjustment of status, naturalization, and complex litigation matters.

Prior to founding her firm, Ms. Garcia served as an Assistant Prosecutor in Union County, where she handled cases ranging from disorderly persons offenses to serious felony charges, honing her trial, motion, and appellate advocacy skills. She also clerked for the Honorable William A. Daniel in the Superior Court of New Jersey, Criminal Division.

Ms. Garcia earned her J.D. from Roger Williams University School of Law and began her immigration advocacy through clinical and pro bono work in New York City. She is proud to combine her litigation background and immigration expertise to advocate effectively for her clients and community.
