It’s been eight months since Victoria Lee, a 25-year-old Korean American woman, was tragically shot and killed by police when her family requested medical assistance to help her during a mental health crisis.
Fort Lee Mayor Mark Sokolich, Police Chief Matthew Hintze, the Borough Council, and Fort Lee’s Emergency Services have agreed to participate in this much anticipated town hall and speak directly with the Fort Lee community about changes they’ve implemented since Victoria’s death. This is an opportunity for an open conversation, and community members are invited to share their questions and concerns with the town and learn about available services.
Fort Lee’s leadership and staff will present on:
- How Fort Lee emergency services work to keep the community safe
- Safety tips for you and your family
- When and how to call for help
- How you can get involved and stay connected
The presentations will be followed by a Q&A.
