The Pledge of Allegiance promises “liberty and justice for all”–not just some. As our country faces rising authoritarianism and attacks on multiracial democracy, it’s never been more important for all Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders in New Jersey to make their voices heard in our gubernatorial and Assembly elections.
Join us for a march on the ballot box with the Asian Aunty Brigade, a special cohort of community members who have been training in protest skills and drumming! We’ll fill out our mail-in ballots at AAPI NJ HQ in Montclair, and then march with the Asian Aunty Brigade to the ballot box (about a 10-minute walk). Wear a visor of your choice. Drumming optional.
We’ll toast our march on the ballot box with an Asian-themed caffeinated beverage at Paper Plane Coffee afterward.
